These screws feature cut threads and a consistent size full-body diameter shank which provides a sealing action as the screw is driven into the wood. While solid brass has anti-corrosive properties and water-resistant, it is also a softer metal, which means it needs to be used with extra care. Recommended pilot hole sizes must be followed in order to avoid stripping and ensuring proper fit.
