- Bare metal finish fasteners.
- Made from alloy steel, quenched, and tempered. These bolts undergo a heat treatment process consisting of quenching (rapid cooling from a high temperature) and tempering (reheating to a lower temperature and then cooling) to achieve their high strength and toughness. Use with Class 10.9 nuts to develop full strength of the cap screw.
- Available in Coarse, Fine threads with fully threaded or partially threaded lengths. DIN 931 = Partial Thread, DIN 933 = Full Thread.
- Made from alloy steel. 10.9 bolts are suitable for applications requiring high tensile strength and load-bearing capacity, such as in automotive, machinery, and structural engineering projects.
- Property Class: 10.9. Tensile strength 1040 MPa or about 150,000 p.s.i., similar to SAE Grade 8.
- Metric classes are numeric stamped on the head.
